2018 Stoughton High School Senior Finals Made Optional

Due to the recent deaths of four students, senior final exams will not be mandatory this year.

STOUGHTON, MA — With Stoughton High School students grieving the deaths of Christopher Desir, Eryck Sarblah, Nick Joyce, 16, and David Bell, senior finals have been turned into an optional assignment.

Stoughton High School announced changes to the schedule Thursday. With many students attending the funeral of David Bell, all finals scheduled for Friday have been canceled. All senior final exams will take place May 29 and 30.

The change means that only students who need to pass a class to graduate or would like to improve their grade are advised to taking the final. Seniors are advised to speak to their teachers before making that decision.
