1. Little Theatre of Stoughton Presents Snow White

Friday, August 17 is opening night of the Little Theatre of Stoughton's production of "Snow White: The Musical."

The play will take place at the on Park St.

The play features songs from Broadway musicals, including Aida, The Little Mermaid, Footloose and many more. This family-friendly show is adapted from the original Grimm Fairytale.

Performances will be held on August 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26

Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Admission is $15, with discount tickets for students, and seniors priced at $12.

2. Friday, August 17 is Last Day to Register to Vote in Massachusetts State Primary Election

Stoughton Town Clerk Cheryl Mooney reminds Stoughton residents that Friday, August 17 is the last day for voter registration for the September 6 state primary election. 

The Town Clerk's Office (first floor of ) will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, August 17 for voter registration.

3. Stoughton Teen Fundraising for Eagle Scout Project to Beautify Park

Stoughton Boy Scout Adam Lurie is selling personalized bricks to help fundraise for his - erecting a flag pole at Frederick H. Pye Memorial Park at the intersection of Central and Canton Streets in Stoughton.

The bricks will be placed in a circle around the flag pole.

The bricks are $35 each, Lurie said. There are three lines at 18 characters per line available for customization.

For those interested in purchasing a brick or helping Lurie with his fundraising efforts, call him at 781-341-3875. The cutoff for ordering a brick is August 17.

4. Free Golf Clinics for Veterans on Fridays

As a way to thank veterans for their service, there will be free golf instruction for veterans at the on Park St. in Stoughton by Bob Beach, PGA Golf Professional, on Fridays in August (August 3, 10, 17 and 24).

All clinics run from noon till 1 p.m. Clinics are sponsored by Golf for All.

5. SHS Football Team Car Wash

The Stoughton High varsity football team will be hosting a car wash on Saturday, August 18 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. It will take place at the and will cost $5.
