1. Stoughton Police Department Sergeant to be Recognized at Brockton Rox Game

According to the Stoughton Police Department's Facebook page, the Stoughton Police will be recognizing at Tuesday's Brockton Rox game "for his years of dedicated public outreach in the area of drunk driving prevention."

This is part of the Brockton Rox's celebration of the annual National Night Out Against Crime. The festivities will be held Tuesday, August 7 at Campanelli Stadium in Brockton, home of the Rox. Game starts at 7:05 p.m.

"There will be fun and games beforehand as this is always a great event," the SPD's Facebook page states. "Hope to see you there!"

2. Bigger, Faster, Stronger

The Stoughton High Athletic Department (with help from the Prone Family Foundation) will be offering its athletes structured and supervised "Bigger Faster Stronger" workouts every Monday, Wednesday and Friday over the course of the summer as students prepare for the fall sports season and . 

Students will have the option to attend workouts in the recently renovated weightlifting room on Monday and Wednesdays from 8-10 a.m. and 10-12 p.m., as well as 4-6 p.m. for the students that have to work during the day. The facility will be open from 8-10 a.m. and 10-12 p.m. on Fridays.

3. Arts in the Park

As part of the Stoughton Public Library's Summer Reading Program, Monday morning at 10 there will be "Arts in the Park" with Magician David Rysin.
