1. Stoughton Youth Lacrosse League Signups

The new Stoughton Youth Lacrosse league will be having its first signups on Saturday, September 15 from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the Stoughton Public Library (Wales French Room).

Stoughton Lacrosse is a brand new youth sports program that is being organized by Dean Russo, Toni Cann, Karrie Pizzano and Niecia Nunes.  The program, available for boys and girls in grades 1-8, will run this upcoming spring (in 2013). 

Stoughton Youth Lacrosse is also looking for volunteers willing to help out in all areas.

2. Road Work

The Stoughton DPW announced that the following streets will be chip sealed starting Monday, September 10, and will continue until work is completed.

The DPW will be working on the following streets:

  • Powell St
  • York St from (Pine to Canton Line)
  • O'Neill St
  • Walker Rd
  • Winfisky Dr. from (Celiam to Oriole Rd)
  • Simpson St. from (Canton st to Memorial Rd)
  • Rockwood, Birchwood, Maplewood, Oakwood, Pinewood, Springwood

3. Selectmen to Hold Public Hearing About Train Station

The Stoughton Board of Selectmen are holding a public hearing Tuesday, September 11 at 8 p.m. at the Town Hall (third floor, Great Hall) to solicit thoughts from residents on whether the , and if so, what might be some .

4. STOYAC Basketball Signups

The STOYAC recreation basketball program will be holding its sign-ups in the on Wednesday, September 12 and Thursday, September 13 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This program is open to children from the second grade through high school. If you are interested in coaching please sign-up at the same time.

  • 5:15 p.m. - girls' JV field hockey vs. Franklin High School
  • 6:15 p.m. - boys' varsity soccer @ Franklin High School
