1. Interview Process to Pick Stoughton's Next Permanent Town Manager Underway
The search for Stoughton's next permanent Town Manager has hit the homestretch.

On Wednesday, September 12, the will be interviewed by three separate panels - the Town Manager Search Committee; Stoughton Department Heads; and a group representing consulting firm , which will include both an active and retired Town Manager from the area.
These interviews are scheduled from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. according to the town's website.

Following the Wednesday panel interviews, this group of candidates will then be narrowed down to three finalists. The Board of Selectmen will interview these three finalists on Thursday, September 13 starting at 7:30 p.m.
While the Wednesday panel interviews are not open to the public, the Thursday Board of Selectmen interviews will be conducted as part of an open meeting.
A decision on who will be the next Town Manager should come soon after the Board of Selectmen interviews.
In June, Interim Town Manager Joesph D. Feaster, Jr. . The names of the final seven candidates has not been disclosed, although the three finalists will be revealed on Thursday at the Board of Selectmen interviews.
2. STOYAC Basketball Signups
The STOYAC recreation basketball program will be holding its sign-ups in the on Wednesday, September 12 and Thursday, September 13 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This program is open to children from the second grade through high school. If you are interested in coaching please sign-up at the same time.

4. Immigration Information Workshop
Stoughton Literacy Volunteers are offering an Immigration Workshop at the with Evens Bontemps, Immigration Services Officer U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
The is an informational session and a great opportunity to ask any questions regarding immigration status in a safe, non-threatening environment.
It takes place Wednesday, September 12 from 6 - 8:30 p.m. in the Wales French Room at the Library.
The workshop is free but registration is required. To register call 781-232-9362 or email stlva@ocln.org.
5. Stoughton High Girls' Soccer Car Wash
The Stoughton High girls' soccer team is having a fundraising car wash this Saturday, September 15 at the Walgreens parking lot in Stoughton. The cost to have your car washed is $5.
