AG's Office Says Selectmen Committed Open Meeting Law Violation
The complaint relates to how meeting notices are posted at Town Hall.

STOUGHTON, MA — By not having their meeting agendas in a place which could be accessed by the public at all times, the Stoughton Board of Selectmen committed an Open Meeting Law violation, according to the state Attorney General's office.
In an April 17 letter to the board, Assistant Attorney General Hanne Rush wrote that the board violated the law by failing to make their Dec. 11 agenda available to the public at all hours of the day. The complaint was filed by former school committee member Dr. Erdem Ural.
Ural's complaint relates to the Dec. 11 selectmen meeting agenda, which was posted inside Town Hall the night of Dec. 7. When the official posting method of the Town was questioned, the town clerk's office began to post notices on the exterior door of Town Hall.
