"Five Things you Need to Know This Weekend" is the weekend version of the Patch column "Five Things You Need to Know Today." The weekend edition provides readers with essential information for both Saturday and Sunday.
1. Gibbons School Fair
The Gibbons School Spring Fair is Saturday, March 31, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The elementary school is located at .

Guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Stoughton Food Pantries.
There will be mechanical bull rides, karaoke and a pie eating contest! And, games, kids’ crafts, a Patch Photo Booth Cake Walk, gift basket raffle, hair feathers, nail art, numbers game, face Painting, trucks and equipment to climb and explore, and plenty of food!

2. Bye Bye Birdie
The located in Stoughton (on Monk St.) along with students from The Starline Academy for the Performing Arts will be presenting Bye Bye Birdie.This is the last weekend of shows.
Bye Bye Birdie is America's Beloved Rock and Roll musical with a book by Michael Stewart, lyrics by Lee Adams, and music by Charles Strouse, who wrote the musical Annie.
Performances are scheduled on:
- March 31 at 6:30 p.m.
- April 1 at 12:30 p.m.
The Paris Cabaret is located at 49 Monk St. off Rt. 138 in Stoughton. Please call 781-297-SHOW(7469) for dinner reservations as they are required.
3. Maxie’s Gearing up for 2nd Annual Matzo Ball Mania
, a matzo ball eating contest, will take place at on Sunday April 1, starting at 2 p.m. This year’s contest will raise money for the Sumner Redstone Burn Center at Massachusetts General Hospital.
4. Cookie Decorating at Panera
Visit (1334 Park Street) on Saturday, March 31 from 3-6p.m. and decorate an Easter Egg Cookie with the kids.
A percentage of funds from cookie sales go to Children's Hospital Boston.
5. A Musical Celebration of Passover
On Sunday, April 1, be entertained by the energetic music of Cantor Gastón Bogomolni. Crafts and tastes of Passover following the show. Event held at (1179 Central Street) in Stoughton from 3-4:30 p.m.
Geared towards families with children ages 2-6 years. Cost is $15 per family. Additional $5 charge for walk-ins. Open to the entire community.
