1. Meetings around town

At 6:30 p.m. the Board of Health meets at the  in the Fitzpatrick Room on the first floor.  The  also meets at 6:30 p.m. in the board room of its building on 4 Capen St.

2. Elementary School Winter Concert

The  is holding its 4th and 5th grade band and chorus concert this morning at 9 a.m.

3. Another busy day at the Senior Center/Council on Aging

From 9:15 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. there is a Senior Fitness class; from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. there is a Strength & Tone class; There is a Bingo game at 1 p.m.; and at 5 p.m. there is a "Moovin and Groovin" class.

Tomorrow (Wed. 12/22)  the Senior Center is holding its Stoughton Senior Serenader Concert at its Rockland Street facility.  Come see the performance from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. 

4.  happenings

The Literacy Volunteers (LVM-Stoughton) are holding a Citizenship Class from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.; The Book Discussion Group will be meeting in the Wales French Room from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and talking about Bruce Feiler's "Where God Was Born: A Daring Adventure Through the Bible's Greatest Stories." And, Overeater's Anonymous meets from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

5. SHS Sports Schedule

Both basketball teams are in action today.  The boys' varsity team (2-0) has their home opener at 6:30 p.m. against Franklin High.  The boys' freshmen team plays at 3:30 p.m., while the boys' JV plays at 5:00 p.m. 

The girls' varsity team (0-2) travels to Franklin High at 6:30 p.m, for the first road game of the season. The girls' freshmen team plays at 3:30 p.m., while the girls' JV plays at 5:00 p.m.
