Stoughton resident continues her effort to in Stoughton, personally picking up donations for the food pantries every Thursday. Here's a note from Peg:

"I pick up non perishable food and also household items every Thursday, anywhere in Stoughton and deliver them to the food pantry. Please tell your friends and neighbors. One item, one bag or several, and I will pick them up every Thursday. These are tough times for people on fixed incomes, especially during the winter months when folks have to heat their homes, but still need to feed their families. They can call me at 508-889-1385."

, free and open to the public, will meet for eight consecutive weeks on Thursdays, beginning February 10, 2011 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at Sinai located at 150 York Street in Stoughton. There is still room for participants to register and join the group through February 17th. Meetings will run through March 29th. Registration is required. 3. Happenings
At 10 a.m. there is a Basic Literacy Training program run by the (LVM-Stoughton); at 10:30 a.m. there is Story/Craft time for children ages two to three and a half; at 3 p.m. there is an "Acrylic Photo Frame Craft" program for young adults; and at 3:30 p.m. there is a Community Partnerships for Children program: Bucket Fillers Club, for grades K-3.
4. Holiday Trash Schedule
There will be on Presidents' Day, Monday, February 21. Trash scheduled to be picked up that day, will be picked up on Tuesday, February 22, in addition to the usual Tuesday collection schedule.
5. Dining Tip/Planning Ahead:
Looking for a place to go on Valentine's Day? on Pearl Street will have a special opening on Monday for Valentine's Day. They will be celebrating the holiday all weekend, February 11-14.
