1. School Committee Meeting
In accordance with the requirements of Chapter 71, S. 38N., of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Stoughton School Committee will hold a public hearing on its proposed budget for the 12-month Fiscal Year July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013.

The hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 7:15 p.m. in the Television Studio at .

2. Board of Selectmen Meeting
The Stoughton Board of Selectmen meet Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at the (third floor, Great Hall). The Board starts in executive session (which is closed to the public) discussing collective bargaining strategy and a contract for the interim Town Manager.
The Board will then reconvene in open session. A full agenda is posted in the media gallery.
3. Kafka Campaign Event
Louis L. Kafka (D-Stoughton) as state representative from the 8th Norfolk District, which includes precincts 2,3,4 and 6 in Stoughton.
The Kafka Committee will be hosting a Campaign Kickoff Reception Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Alice’s Mandarin Taste Restaurant (37 Pond Street, Sharon), from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person.
4. Bingo at the Senior Center
The will hold its weekly game of BINGO at 12:45 p.m.
5. Stoughton Historical Society Food Drive
During the month of March, the will be collecting and matching donations of non-perishable food or money to be divided between Stoughton's two food pantries.
They are open Tuesdays, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Thursday evenings from 5-8 p.m.
BONUS: Thursday is Food Pantry Day in Stoughton
Stoughton resident Peg Carbone continues her effort to curb hunger in Stoughton, personally picking up donations for the food pantries every Thursday.
Here's a note from Peg: "I pick up non perishable food and also household items every Thursday, anywhere in Stoughton and deliver them to the food pantry. Please tell your friends and neighbors. One item, one bag or several, and I will pick them up every Thursday."
