There is more good news on the health front for Stoughton selectman Cynthia Walsh.
At Tuesday night's meeting, she announced she recently went in for a check-up and found out she is still free of cancer and there are no traces of it returning. Walsh, a long-time selectmen and town meeting member, found she had stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2012. She went through treatment before getting a clean bill of health in January of 2013.
"I appreciate all the people who prayed for me and for my good health," she said.
During the time she was battling cancer, Walsh attended selectmen's meetings and keep up her busy schedule of going to town events.
At the selectmen's meeting, Walsh asked people to reach out to others battling cancer and lend them a hand and give them support.
