One Of 24 Dogs Seized In Randolph Animal Cruelty Case Needs Home

RANDOLPH, MA — Twenty puppies and four dogs were removed from a Randolph home after police say the house was in a complete state of squalor without any access for the dogs to have food or water. Since then, all but one of the 24 dogs have found families but one.

Benjamin is a 2-year-old pitbull-type dog who the Animal Rescue League says arrived at the adoption center extremely friendly but with a lack of socialization, focus, and basic manners.

The ARL says the behavioral staff and volunteers have worked with Benjamin over the past two months and say he is improving his manners and maintaining focus.

Once Benjamin finds a new family, the ARL says they will continue to provide behavior council and advice for his new family.

The ARL says Benjamin would do best in a home with teens and older, as he can be a bit jumpy when he gets excited, but says if you have tennis balls and treats, he will be your very best friend.

Benjamin is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and been examined by the ARL's vet team.

The dogs' previous owner, Urie Louissaint, 28, of Randolph, was charged with 24 counts of Animal Cruelty and one count of threats to commit a crime
