Stoughton Man Arrested for Possessing Pair of Unlicensed Handguns
Stoughton Police arrested a 45-year-old resident on Tuesday after a caller reported hearing shots being fired in the woods on Brickel Road.

A Stoughton man was arrested and faces multiple gun-related charges after police received a call from a female on Brickel Road early Tuesday evening stating that she "heard several gun shots coming form the woods," according to the Stoughton Police log.
After receiving the call at 5:21 p.m. on September 18, Stoughton Police arrived on scene and Officers William Healey and Christopher Grover went into the woods and later arrested Stephen B. Margolis of Southworth Court in Stoughton.
Margolis, 45, is charged with two counts of carrying a firearm without a license; unlawful possession of ammunition/mace and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.

Lt. Fran Wohlgemuth assisted in making the arrest, Executive Officer Robert Devine said.
Devine said Margolis had two unlicensed handguns - one single-shot and one semi-automatic. He said Margolis was shooting cans in the woods.
