Stoughton Officials Release Finalized Glen Echo Park Plan

Officials in Stoughton this week released the finalized recreation and development plan for the Glen Echo parcel of land it purchased in 2011 through the Community Preservation Act.

The plan, according to the recently-released report, was “created through the careful integration of site analysis, historical data, feasibility studies and the public process to forge a vision for the future generations of users of the Glen Echo Park site.”

The proposed redevelopment of the area comprises a two-phased implementation of improvements, with Phase I including resurfacing efforts and the addition of parking and a portable restroom. Phase II would integrate a picnic pavilion on the lawn and gathering area.
