Stoughton’s Paris Cabaret Says Hello to Bye Bye Birdie
The Paris Cabaret/Starline Room Dinner Theatre is presenting "Bye Bye Birdie," a rock and roll musical, in the month of March.

The located in Stoughton (on Monk St.) along with students from The Starline Academy for the Performing Arts will be presenting Bye Bye Birdie.
Bye Bye Birdie is America's Beloved Rock and Roll musical with a book by Michael Stewart, lyrics by Lee Adams, and music by Charles Strouse, who wrote the musical Annie.

This shows boasts such songs as The Telephone Hour; Put On A Happy Face; We Love You Conrad; Kids; How Lovely to be a Woman; One Boy; One Kiss; Honestly Sincere; and A Lot of Livin' To Do!
The show will also captivate musical audiences with a very funny take on "The Ed Sullivan Song."

Originally titled “Let's Go Steady,” the satire on American society is set in 1958. The story was inspired by the phenomenon of popular singer Elvis Presley and his draft notice into the Army in 1957.
The rock star character's name, "Conrad Birdie," is word play on the name of Conway Twitty. Twitty is best remembered today for his long career as a country
music star, but in the late 1950s, he was one of Presley's rock 'n' roll rivals.
The original Broadway production was a Tony Award-winning success. It spawned a London production and several major revivals, a sequel, a 1963 film starring Dick Van Dyke, Janet Leigh and introducing the world to Ann-Margaret. This show has also became a popular choice for countless theater groups across the nation.
Set in a Cabaret style seating the show is staged all around the room. Bye Bye Birdie will feature a double cast of over 28 students from The Starline Academy for the Performing Arts.
"The Starliners," who are the resident company of singing waitstaff, will be
starring in the adult roles. This will include Gary Poholek of North
Attleboro as Albert; Nicole Malagodi of Hyde Park as Rosie; Antanas Meilus
of Medford as Conrad; Brian Kenerson of Middleboro as Mr. MacAphee; Lauren
Kenny of Stoughton as Kim; and Joyce MacPhee of Whitman as Mrs. Peterson.
Students featured from Stoughton are: Kayla Medeiros; Abbie Langmead;
Samantha Langmead; Brenda Lambert; Sophia Calisi; Marissa Romano; Jenna
Morris; Chinazo Odunze; Maddie Pect; Heather Cardella; Amanda Doherty;
Lana D'Addeico; Cierrah Bridges; Brenna Shedin; Shayla Shedin; Olivia
Hoffman; Brianna Buckley; Katie Gover; Kira Bean; and Harley Sousa.
From Canton is Shannon Milewski; from Attleboro is Kassie Orton; from Easton is Mikeighla Droney; from Sharon is Sabrina Gamm, Kephi Alkalay and Boaz Alkalay. Also joining the cast is Manny Walsh from Randolph as Hugo Peabody.
The show is directed by Paris Kampanelas with choreography by Ariana Kampanelas. The show will be costumed by Diane Medeiros and Anne-Marie Lambert.
Performances are scheduled on:
- March 9, 10, 17, 24, 30, 31 at 6:30 p.m.
- March 11, 18, 25 and April 1 at 12:30 p.m.
