Stoughton Teen Charged In Roxbury Murder
Jerion Moore, 19, of Stoughton, was arrested in Dorchester and charged with murder. He is due in Roxbury District Court on Monday.

BOSTON, MA — An arrest has was made Saturday in connection to a January Roxbury murder .
Jerion Moore, 19, of Stoughton, was arrested in Dorchester and charged with murder. He is due in Roxbury District Court on Monday.
"I want to commend and thank my Homicide Detectives for the hard work and driven dedication to justice that led to the arrest of the suspect in this case. The long hours and meticulous attention to detail as it relates to homicide investigations cannot be understated. Thanks to their work, a dangerous felon is behind bars and our community is safer as a result. More than anything else, it is my sincere hope that news of today's arrest brings with it some small measure of comfort and closure to the family and friends of Alexander Mervin," Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said in a release.

On the afternoon of Jan. 11, a nearby police officer on foot on Whittier Street in Roxbury heard the sound of gunfire. After running to towards the sound, he found a man, identified as 22-year-old Alexander Mervin of Revere, suffering from a gun wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
A second suspect, Nicholas Sicellon, 18, of Dorchester, was also arrested.
