17 Positions Up For Grabs In Sudbury Annual Town Election

Nominations are open, and candidates must submit their intentions by Feb. 2. Here's what's open.

SUDBURY, MA—Looking to serve the town? This year, there are 17 seats up for grabs.

There are 17 official positions open for election at the March 26 Annual Town Election, and nomination packets are available at the town clerk's office.

Candidates for town offices must file their intentions with the Town Clerk on or before Friday, Feb. 2, at 5 p.m. and return their nomination papers on or before Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the town clerk’s office no later than 5 p.m.

Candidates for L-S Regional District School Committee have to get their papers at the High School from Donna Cakert, the district clerk at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School, on or before Friday, Feb. 2, and return their nomination papers to the district clerk on or before Tuesday, Feb. 6. The deadline to withdraw from the election is Thursday, Feb. 22, at 5 p.m.

  • One Moderator – 3 Year Term
  • Two members of the Board of Selectmen – 3 Year Terms
  • One member of the Board of Assessors – 3 Year Term
  • Two members of the Goodnow Library Trustees – 3 Year Terms
  • One member of the Board of Health – 3 Year Term
  • One member of the Sudbury Housing Authority – 5 Year Term
  • Two members of the Park and Recreation Commission – 3 Year Terms
  • Two members of the Planning Board – 3 Year Terms
  • One member of the Planning Board – 1 Year Term
  • Two members of the Sudbury School Committee – 3 Year Terms
  • Two members of the Lincoln Sudbury Regional School Committee – 3 Year Terms

Voter Registration Info:

Tuesday, March 6, at 8 p.m. is the deadline for registering to vote at the Annual Town Election. Voter registration is available each weekday at the Town Clerk’s office, as well as at the Special Registration Session on Tuesday, March 6, when the office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
