Quick Oil Change Chain Eyes New Sudbury Location On Post Road

A corporation linked to a national chain of quick car service shops will go before the Sudbury Zoning Board of Appeals in May.

SUDBURY, MA — A corporation linked to a national chain of instant oil change shops will go before the Sudbury Zoning Board of Appeals in May to seek permission to open a new location in town.

Metrolube Realty LLC, which has ties to a Valvoline franchise owner, will go before the ZBA on May 8 seeking permission to open "a motor vehicle light service establishment" at 86-92 Boston Post Road, according to the agenda.

The Marlborough-based LLC is managed by Robert Ladas, who operates Metrolube Enterprises, Inc. The company operates over 100 Valvoline shops in seven states. Ladas first two shops were in Hudson and Marlborough.

As of today, 86-92 Boston Post Road is a parking lot next to the Sudbury Point Grill near the intersection of Old County Road. Although served by multiple mechanic shops, Sudbury doesn't yet have a chain outpost within town limits.

86-92 Boston Post Road is still owned by a real estate trust, according to the Middlesex South Registry of Deeds.
