Police, Fire Save Student Van From Sudbury Marsh

Sudbury's Police and Fire Departments saved a student transportation van from a marsh in the morning hours of March 17.

SUDBURY, MA - The Sudbury police and fire departments saved a student transport van from a marsh at the intersection of Old Sudbury Road and Water Row.

Just after 8 a.m., responders arrived at the scene and found the van with two elementary school-aged children and the driver still inside. Both kids were uninjured, and the operator had a minor, non-life-threatening injury. Firefighters from both the Sudbury and Wayland departments were able to remove the occupants from the vehicle.

One patient was transported to a nearby healthcare facility, and the two students were evaluated and released into the custody of their parents.
