Sudbury Police Respond To Bomb Threat
A bomb threat was reported at the Shaw's on Boston Post Road, prompting investigations by the police and the Massachusetts State Bomb Squad.
SUDBURY, MA - The Sudbury Police and Fire Departments responded to a reported bomb threat at the Shaw's Supermarket at 509 Boston Post Road yesterday afternoon.
Just after 1:45 p.m., officers were made aware of the threat and Shaw's, along with adjacent businesses, were evacuated while the investigation began. The Massachusetts State Bomb Squad assisted and assessed safety concerns.
Following several sweeps of the premises the supermarket was deemed safe. The bomb threat was reportedly one of several hoaxes throughout Massachusetts.
