Accidental Call from the Governor Phone; Sick Squirrel: Swampscott Police

At 9:54 a.m., the direct line from the governor’s home to the Swampscott Police station rang but no one was on the end of the line. It was determined to be accidental.

At 10:24 a.m., a mother and her small children were locked out of their house on Maple Avenue.

At 2:32 p.m., a resident came into the station and reported that there was a sick squirrel in front of her house. The board of health was notified.
