Chelsea Police Officer Dies in Lynn Motorcycle Crash
Police departments across the region are offering their condolences for Chelsea Police Officer John Bruttaniti.

Sad news out of Lynn this morning, as police departments across the region offer their condolences for Chelsea Police Officer John Bruttaniti.
Bruttaniti died in a motorcycle accident in Lynn while off-duty Thursday night, according to Chelsea Chief of Police Brian Kyes. He was 41.
"He was an incredible police officer, and his death is a tremendous loss to the entire community," said Kyes in a statement. "John was truly a special person with a unique way of touching us all with his engaging personality. He will be greatly missed by everyone around him."

Bruttaniti was a member of Chelsea's police department since early 2008, a former firefighter for the city and an Iraq war veteran.
