Dense Fog Possible for Tuesday Morning Commute

Dense fog is possible on Tuesday morning along the North Shore and Cape Ann, according to the National Weather Service.

For some areas, it will be the second straight morning with thick fog.

The dense fog alert was issued at about 9:45 p.m. on Monday. Dense fog with visibilities as low as a half mile are possible starting at midnight on Tuesday morning “and prevailing into the morning commute,” the weather service said.

“Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibilities and drive with extra caution,” the National Weather said.

The fog should burn off during the morning hours.
