Lynn Man Charged In North Shore Restaurant Owner Killing: Essex DA

The Essex County District Attorney's Office said the man was to be arraigned Thursday in the killing of Crazy Buzzy's owner Ilias Mavros.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — A Lynn man was set to be arraigned Thursday morning in the killing of a popular North Shore restaurant owner found dead in his Lynn home on Monday night.

The Essex County District Attorney's Office said Eric German-Pena, 25, was to face murder charges in the death of Ilias Mavros, 48, of Lynn, who owned Crazy Buzzy's Roast Beef & Seafood.

Lynn police said they responded to a Stanwood Street home Monday night for a well-being check at the request of a family member and found Mavros dead with apparent signs of trauma.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to Tucker's office, Lynn Police, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner investigated with Tucker saying on Thursday that his office found probable cause to charge German-Pena.

Mavros' nephew, George Fiscatoris, told CBS Boston that he planned to honor his uncle and remember good times at their newly opened restaurant.
