Man Asks Police to Help Find His Drunk Friend Who Ran Onto the Golf Course

Here's the latest from the Swampscott Police Department log.

Friday, Oct. 16

At 12:25 a.m., a person came into the police station to report that his friend, a male, was ”drunk and belligerent” and had just run onto the golf course by Salem Street. The walk-in said he’d been looking for his friend and now requested an officer check the area.

At 7:34 a.m., a resident reported they heard water flowing in the basement, but had medical issues and couldn’t check the situation on their own.

At 11:44 a.m., police assisted the school resource officer with escorting an employee from Swampscott Middle School.

At 1:47 p.m., a past larceny from a business on Humphrey Street was reported.

At 3:04 p.m., a motor vehicle break-in was reported. The incident apparently took place about five minutes before the caller reported it, while the victim was in Whole Foods.

At 9:59 a.m., a group of youths was dispersed from in the middle of the street where they were causing a disturbance.
