Man Reportedly Stripping Down Near Busy Intersection

Here's the latest from the Swampscott Police Department log.

Thursday, Sept. 24

At 12:31 p.m., an out-of-town, off-duty officer reported a man at the intersection of Atlantic and Humphrey who appeared to be taking off his clothes. The officer reported the man had on boxer shorts. The Swampscott officer who responded was familiar with the suspect, who had his clothes on when the officer arrived. The officer planned to keep an eye on him.

At 12:57 p.m., a sick or injured goose was reported.

At 5:06 p.m., police made an arrest at Commercial and Common Street.

At 5:21 p.m., a person brought a ring into the station that had been found on the sidewalk.

At 8:02 p.m., a woman reported she found what she believed to be a BB gun and wanted it safely disposed of. The gun was rusted and in two pieces; she was told to dispose of it in her trash.
