Men Seem Suspicious, But They Just Wanted a Smoke

Sunday, Sept. 27

At 12:08 a.m., a resident called to report two unknown males sitting out on the lawn in front of a Franklin Avenue residence. The individuals were two residents who came out front to smoke cigarettes together.

At 3:35 a.m., a neighbor complained of dogs barking outside. The dog owners agreed to bring the dogs inside.

At 10:15 a.m., a caller reported a strong odor of natural gas at the entrance of Vinnin Mobil/Boston Market.

At 11:50 a.m., a caller reported a suspicious white van in his neighbor’s driveway that he thought might match the description of a van wanted in connection with recent robberies. He said the van left at a high rate of speed.

At 5 p.m., a caller complained of many dogs on the beach running loose prior to Oct. 1.
