Officer Finds About 50 Books Stacked on Library Stairs Late at Night

Plus, a contractor blocked the road and a triple noise complaint

At 12:22 a.m., a report came in of youths being loud near the construction area near 415 Paradise Road. The individuals were gone on officers’ arrival.

At 1:48 a.m., a caller complained of individuals talking loudly in a back yard. The individuals were spoken with and agreed to take it inside.

At 2:14 a.m., the same caller reported noise in the back yard again.

At 3:34 a.m., a third noise complaint was made. This one is logged as “unfounded” and police found everything to be quiet.

At 7:02 a.m., vandalism to a motor vehicle was reported.

At 12:09 p.m., the fire department extracted a dog from a black Volkswagon parked on Paradise Road.

At 1:50 p.m., a man reported that a contractor had partially blocked the roadway on Bradlee Avenue and there was no police detail on the scene. The caller said one of the workers yelled at the caller’s wife when she attempted to drive around him. An officer headed to the scene, but the contractor had left prior to the officer’s arrival.

At 11:19 p.m., an officer doing a building check found the library secure, but about 50 books stacked on the front steps.
