Residents Report Packages Stolen from Porches

Here's the latest from the Swampscott Police Department log.

Tuesday, Sept. 15

At 2:01 a.m., police performed a check at the Machon School and found evidence of kids congregating there.

At 7:35 a.m., a caller reported that a 12-year-old entered the residence without permission. This was logged as an ongoing problem.

At 10:32 a.m., a breaking and entering was reported.

At 12:27 p.m., a woman reported that a motor vehicle struck her house earlier in the day.

At 4:43 p.m., Marblehead Police reported they had two people in custody who had three packages intended for address in Swampscott.

A 6:20 p.m., a caller reported loose dogs on the beach. The caller said she asked the owner to put the dogs on a lease and the owner laughed at her.

At 7:44 p.m., a resident reported a package had been stolen after it was delivered last Friday.

At 7:57 p.m., an iPad was reported stolen.

At 9:03 p.m., a woman reported that a package had been stolen from her home.

At 10:22 p.m., a damaged shed door at the Stanley School appeared to have been an attempted break-in.
