Squirrels Being Electrocuted By Utility Pole, Caller Tells Police

At 12:28 a.m., police checked for a domestic assault suspect wanted out of Salem. The woman was not located.

At 8:50 a.m., a caller reported his vehicle was struck in the parking lot of Family Doctors. The officer helped the two parties exchange info and found that one of the drivers didn’t have a valid license. That person was issued a criminal summons.

At 9:01 a.m., a business reported a bike had been left for several days.

At 10:21 a.m., a caller reported that over the the past several months she’s seen at least five squirrels electrocuted because a tree has grown into a utility pole. She requested police check the pole for safety; National Grid was notified.

At 1:52 p.m., a caller reported past vandalism to his motor vehicle.

At 2 p.m., a caller reported a group of boys were throwing a ball over traffic and Humphrey Street.

At 2:03 p.m., Whole Foods Market reported a woman shoplifting from the store. She had just under $100 worth of merchandise.

At 7:03 p.m., an arrest was made following a motor vehicle stop.

At 7:28 p.m., two motor vehicles were reported broken into at Paradise Gym. The windows were smashed and cell phones were taken.
