Swampscoot School Committee Candidate Drops Out Of Race
The second withdrawal in less than a week means the race for two Swampscott school committee seats is no longer contested.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Keiko Zoll dropped out of what had been a three-way race for two seats on the Swampscott school committee with less than a week until the town's annual election.
"Trying to balance the demands of full-time work, parenting, and homeschooling during this pandemic has been a struggle," Zoll said in a Facebook post Thursday. "This was a decision with which I’d been wrestling for several weeks, and one made largely out of the need to focus on my own mental health."
Greg D'Antona withdrew from the race on Monday. With Zoll's decision, Suzanne Wright and John Giantis are the only candidates running for the two, three-year seats up for reelection on the board. The only remaining, town-wide, contested race is for selectmen in Tuesday's election, although there are several precinct-level races for town meeting member.
