Swampscott Coach Resigns After Accused of Public Sex Act

The boys' high school soccer coach pleaded not guilty last week.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA – After his arrest last week, Coach Eric Robinson has resigned as the boys' soccer coach, as reported by the Lynn Item.

Robinson, 34, of Revere, was arrested with a Lynn woman on Wednesday evening on charges of committing an unnatural act in High Rock Park. According to state law, the purpose of the Unnatural and Lascivious Act law is to prevent public sexual conduct "that might give offense to persons present in a place that is frequented by members of the public."

The Lynn Item wrote that police reported that Robinson and the woman parked at the end of the traffic island in the park, while it was open and families with small children were nearby.
