UPDATED: Swampscott High Principal Placed on Leave
The superintendent has declined to comment further on a "pending personnel matter."
SWAMPSCOTT, MA - Swampscott High School Principal Edward Rozmiarek was placed on administrative leave effective Monday, Dec. 7.
Superintendent Pamela Angelakis said in a Tuesday press release that she could not discuss the details of a “pending personnel matter,” but that Rozmiarek would be on administrative leave until further notice.
Parents were directed to contact SHS Assistant Principal Frank Kowalski with any questions “regarding your student(s) high school experience.”

Rozmiarek took the helm at Swampscott High in July 2013. Before coming to Swampscott, he was the headmaster at Lowell High School and also had tenures at North Reading High School and Mansfield High School.
