Swampscott Homeowners Will See Slight Property Tax Decrease

While it was the third consecutive tax decrease for single-family homeowners, condo owners will see average tax bills go up $192 to $5,225.​

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — The average Swampscott homeowner will see their property tax bill increase $23 after Selectmen set tax rates Wednesday. Selectmen unanimously approved a tax rate of $14.30 per $1,000 of assessed value for both commercial and residential properties. The average residential tax bill in Swampscott will be $8,999 next year.
