Swampscott Life-Savers: Cardiac Arrest Victim Meets Good Samaritan, First Responders
The 72-year-old man greeted the team that helped save his life at the post office in August.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Tom Creamer on Wednesday got to meet the team that reacted in unison to save his life when he suffered a cardiac episode at the post office in August.
It was about 3:15 p.m. on Aug. 23 when police said they were called to a report of an unconscious man in front of the building.
Kate Sheetz, a post office customer, had reacted quickly to seeing Creamer in distress and began administering CPR to the victim. Officers Michael Kenyon and Sgt. Steven Luck responded and Kenyon took over CPR until Swampscott firefighters Justin Ramstine, Michael Salsgiver, Ariana Sarro arrived and advanced rescue efforts with a shock delivered.

Atlantic Ambulance Paramedics followed with more emergency care as Creamer's pulse was restored.
He was taken to Salem Hospital and has since made a full recovery.

"Mr. Creamer and his family were excited to meet Ms. Sheetz and the members of Swampscott PD and Swampscott FD who were able to save his life," police said. "Mr. Creamer's life was saved not by one person, but by the entire community."
