Swampscott Man Arrested for OUI After Crashing into Parked Car

Police arrested a Swampscott man early Sunday morning after they say he drunkenly crashed his vehicle into a parked car and fled the scene.

Valdimir Kravets, 30, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

According to police, a report came in that a parked car had been struck on Pine Street. The striking vehicle reportedly left the scene, but did so with heavy front-end damage.

Police subsequently arrested Kravets, charging him in the incident.
