Swampscott Police Collect 55 Lbs Of Medication

Swampscott Police collected 55 lbs of prescription drugs for Drug Take Back Day.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA – Swampscott Police collected 55 lbs of prescription drugs with the Drug Enforcement Administration for Drug Take Back Day on April 29.

Swampscott Police posted the results of the Drug Take Back Day on their Facebook page, and said people can drop off unwanted or expired prescription medication anytime in the lobby of the police department. The drug take back kiosk can accept prescriptions, patches, medications, over-the-counter medicine, vitamins, samples, and medicine for pets.

It cannot accept needles, epipens, inhalers, misters, aerosols, liquids, gels, pastes, ointments, lotions, thermometers, or medications from businesses or clinics.
