Swampscott to Remember Sept. 11 Attack Victims on Thursday Morning
A remembrance service is planned on Thursday morning on the 13th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

Swampscott will remember the victims of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 during a brief remembrance ceremony at the Swampscott Fire Department on Thursday.
The service is planned for Sept. 11, starting promptly at 9:55 a.m.in front of the station on Burrill Street, according to an announcement from Deputy Chief Jim Potts. Anyone who plans to attend should plan to be there by about 9:40 a.m.
The service will remember the victim of the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, Flight 93 in Shanksville, Penn. and at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. 13 years ago.

In Boston, Gov. Deval Patrick and other state officials will honors the victims of the attacks at a flag lowering ceremony and a reading of the names of Massachusetts victims on the steps of the State House at 8:30 a.m.
