Swampscott School Committee Candidate Drops Out Of Race

Three candidates are still running for the two seats that are up for reelection in the June 30 Swampscott election.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Greg D'Antona has withdrawn from the race for Swampscott school committee, according to a notice on the town Website, leaving three candidates to vie for the two seats that up for reelection in the June 30 municipal election.

No reason was given for his decision, and D'Antona was not immediately available for comment Monday afternoon. Suzanne Wright, Keiko Zoll and John Giantis are still running for the two, three-year terms.

There is also a contested race for selectmen and several contested races for town meeting members.
