Swampscott Selectmen Will Have Challenger In Election

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott will likely have at least one contested race during the town election on April 28. Stephen Williams, who missed being elected to the board of selectmen in last year's election, returned nomination papers to challenge incumbents Naomi Dreeben and Laura Spathanas, whose three-year terms are expiring.

According to the Swampscott Reporter, which first reported this story, Belleair Drive resident Greg D’Antona has withdrawn nomination papers to run for one of two school committee seats that are up for reelection this year. Suzanne Wright and Gargi Cooper are the board members whose terms are expiring.
