Swampscott Shooting: Police Investigate Saturday Incident

Swampscott Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA – Police are investigating a Saturday shooting after a man standing in an Erie Street living room was shot in the arm.

Swampscott Police responded to a call around 4 a.m. for a person who had been shot while inside an Erie Street residence. A 23-year-old man was standing in the living room when he heard a noise and felt something in his arm, according to police.

He had been shot in the arm by someone outside the house. The victim was transported to Salem Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The State Police Crime Scene unit and Swampscott Police are investigating the incident. Sgt. Jay Lock, Officers Kevin Reen and Brian Wilson, and Lt. Thomas Stephens responded to the incident.

There were no updates as of Monday morning.
