Swampscott Students Among First to Head Back to School

Students in the Swampscott Public Schools return to school on Wednesday - among the first on the North Shore to get back into the classroom.

On the North Shore, Swampscott students will join students in Hamilton-Wenham and Manchester-Essex. Statewide, students in Haverhill, Natick and Plymouth are some of the other places where school starts on Wednesday.

Many other North Shore students will have another week of summer vacation. Beverly, Danvers, Lynn, Topsfield and Salem all head back on Wednesday, Sept. 3.

After two days in school, Swampscott students have Friday off, as well as Labor Day on Monday, for a four day weekend before heading back on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
