After shooting scenes in Swampscott two year ago, now crews from "Ted 2" are using a portion of Appleton Farms shoot scenes in the sequel.

“Ted” is expected to return to the North Shore this week.

Filming is expected to begin this week for “Ted 2” at Appleton Farms in Hamilton. Portions of the movie were shot in Swampscott two years ago. There has been no indication, so far, that any of the scenes for the sequel will be shot in town.

The filming will last about 10 days and will include star Mark Wahlberg, according to Peter Pinciaro, deputy director of the Northeast region for Trustees of the Reservations, which owns the 1,000 acre farm that sits in Hamilton and Ipswich.

The shooting will happen on a portion of the farm known as the “Great Pasture,” which is to the west of the railroad tracks that split the property, on the Hamilton side. Signs have gone up directing the cast up Highland Street in Hamilton so they can find the set.
