Which Presidential Candidates Are Swampscott Donors Backing?
Swampscott residents made 282 contributions totaling $53,301 to presidential candidates in 20 according to year-end campaign finance data.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott residents made 282 contributions totaling $53,301 to presidential candidates in 2019, according to year-end campaign finance reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.
The biggest beneficiary was former Vice President Joe Biden, whose presidential campaign received $7,884 from Swampscott donors. He was closely trailed by President Donald Trump, whose re-election campaign received $7,836 from Swampscott donors.
After Biden and Trump, the biggest recipeient was Sen. Elizabeth Warren, whose campaign collected $7,085 from Swampscott donors. Sen. Seth Moulton, who was raised in Swampscott, received $6,036 from locals before ending his long shot presidential bid in August. Former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick raised $6,600.
