2016 Dog Licenses Now Available

It is that time of the year when all dogs (six months of age or over) must be licensed.

Tewksbury Town Clerk Denise Graffeo is reminding dog owners that the 2015 Dog License expires on Dec. 31.

It is that time of the year when all dogs (six months of age or over) must be licensed. The license is valid for one calendar year, and must be renewed annually.

Dog license renewals are due by March 15, after which late fees will be assessed.

Licensing fees are as follows:

Jan. 1 to March 15:

  • Spayed or Neutered - $15
  • Not Spayed or Neutered - $20

March 16 to July 1:

  • Spayed or Neutered - $20
  • Not Spayed or Neutered - $25

July 2 to Dec. 31:

  • Spayed or Neutered - $30
  • Not Spayed or Neutered - $35

A dog owner applying for a license shall be obligated to pay all outstanding dog license fees relating to the past licensing period and any outstanding violation notices. A current Rabies Certificate as well as a Certificate of Spaying or Neutering must be presented before a dog license may be issued, unless currently on file in this office.

Please be reminded the Town Clerk’s Office has recently moved back to our newly renovated Town Hall at 1009 Main St.t. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For your convenience, you may prefer to license your dog by mail. If licensing by mail, please include:

  • License Fee
  • Current Rabies Certificate (unless currently on file)
  • Certificate of Spaying or Neutering, if applicable (unless currently on file)
  • A self-addressed stamped envelope
