Allen Walter McGee, 68, Lifelong Tewksbury Resident
The well-known resident loved to volunteer to help children in need His favorite role was acting as Santa Claus during the holidays.

Allen Walter McGee, age 68, a well known lifelong resident of Tewksbury, died Saturday, October 24, at the Heritage Nursing Center in Lowell, where he had been in residence since July.
He was born in Boston, in June 1947, a son of the late Walter and Alice (Texiera) McGee, and was a graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School. He went on to earn an Associates Degree.

Allen worked primarily as a concrete contractor, but also had worked as a bartender at several establishments, including a long stretch at the former Thackery’s in Billerica. He was a member of the Bunting Club, and loved to volunteer any capacity for the benefit of children in need. His favorite role was acting as Santa Claus around the Christmastime holidays.
Allen leaves his brother, Alvan S. McGee of Tewksbury, and many dear friends throughout the Merrimack Valley.

A Memorial Graveside Service will be held Friday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m. in the Tewksbury Cemetery. Arrangements through the Tewksbury Funeral Home.
