Alysia Russo Promoted to Sergeant with Tewksbury Police Department

Sergeant Alysia Russo has been a Tewksbury Police Officer since 2008.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Police Chief Timothy B. Sheehan is pleased to announce the promotion of Patrolman Alysia Russo to Sergeant. A swearing-in ceremony was held in Sergeant Russo’s honor at the Tewksbury Police Department on Wednesday, April 13.

Sergeant Alysia Russo has been a Tewksbury Police Officer since 2008. She is one of the Department's Field Training Officers and has been instrumental in the training and mentoring of recruit officers since May of 2013.

Sergeant Russo has been the recipient of numerous awards throughout her eight year tenure to include Tewksbury Police Department’s Exceptional Performance in Law Enforcement Award in 2012, 2013, and 2014. She also received the AAA Traffic Safety Hero Award in 2014 and the Spirit of MAWLE Mentoring Award in 2015. She has a master's degree in criminal justice from Anna Maria College.

"I am very proud of our newest Sergeant as she represents the highest standards of modern law enforcement and the finest traditions of the Tewksbury Police Department," Chief Sheehan said in a statement issued Friday. "The future of the Tewksbury Police Department just got brighter."
