Billerica Resident Arrested on Heroin Distribution Charges

A Billerica man faces heroin distribution and other charges after being arrested following police surveillance Friday.

On Friday, Nov. 13, detectives from the Tewksbury Police Department and the Andover Police Department were conducting surveillance on Woburn Street in Tewksbury for narcotics transactions.

During the moving and stationary surveillance, Tewksbury detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 495 (Southbound) and subsequently arrested Robert Carter, 54, of 45 Oak St. in Billerica for “Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class A Substance (heroin),” “Operating a Motor Vehicle with Revoked License,” and “Marked Lanes Violation.”

Approximately #11.5 grams of heroin was seized as a result of Carter’s arrest.

Carter is due to be arraigned at Lowell District Court on Monday, Nov. 16.
