Boston Man Dies After Being Struck While Walking In Tewksbury Friday
William Snelbaker, 58, died at Lahey Hospital. The driver of the car involved in the crash is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

TEWKSBURY, MA — A 58-year-old Boston man who was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle Friday in Tewksbury has died, the Tewksbury Police Department and Middlesex District Attorney's Office have confirmed.
William Snelbaker died Tuesday at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, where he had been transported by medical helicopter on the night of the crash.
According to police reports, at approximately 5:08 p.m. Friday, police responded to the area of 270 Main St. after the report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

At the scene, police located Snelbaker, who was suffering from life-threatening injuries, the Tewksbury PD said.
The preliminary investigation suggests Snelbaker was in the roadway, and likely crossing the street, when he was struck by a Lexus sedan that was traveling northbound.

The Tewksbury PD said the 31-year-old driver of the Lexus was the lone occupant of the vehicle and remained at the scene. No charges have been filed at this time, authorities said.
Police said the investigation into the crash remains ongoing and is being conducted by the Tewksbury PD and the Middlesex District Attorney's Office. Additionally, a crash reconstruction will be conducted by the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section, according to authorities.
