Brenna Ferreira Named Senior of the Month at Shawsheen

TEWKSBURY, MA - Tewksbury’s Brenna Ferreira was one of two students named Seniors of the Month for November at Shawsheen Valley Technical High School.

Ferriera is one of the school’s top students in culinary arts.

The Tewksbury resident has her sights set firmly on a career in the skill she crafted at Shawsheen, as she hopes to earn a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts Management in college.

She’ll leave high school with an impressive resume that includes employment through Shawsheen’s cooperative education program at JT Cakes in Tewksbury and works at Tewksbury Country Club.

The honor roll student has an impressive academic record as well. She’s a member of the National Honor Society, has competed in SkillsUSA and has earned several scholarships, including one from Johnson and Wales University.

When she’s not cooking or studying, Ferriera stays busy with interesting and worthwhile activities and volunteering duties.

At Shawsheen, Ferriera has been a freshman orientation leader and senior culinary representative, while her volunteering has included the Tewksbury Food Pantry and several organizations to help cancer patients and research such as the Relay for Life, Lucy’s Love Bus and the Tanner “Ta Ta” Foundation in Woburn.
